TransMission: Nations short update July 2016
In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. (John 1:4-5)
Light cannot be quenched by darkness. The darker the world, the greater the contrast with His light.
Please join us in prayer for His light to shine through.

Western Mediterranean
  • International short-term training programme
    • The Korean team, Frontline Nations, is running an international training programme in the Western Mediterranean
    • 29 have been in southern Spain for a week, and 15 of them continue on to North Africa today (26 July) for another week
    • please pray for each person that they will hear clearly from the Lord about their next step with Him

Eastern Mediterranean
  • Celebration for the Nations, Israel
    • Gail, with most of the Nations team, the Korean Celebration Mobile Team (based with us in the UK) and Revival Korea (from Korea) are together hosting Celebration Israel
    • 350 people, and several worship teams from other nations, have already registered for this international week of worship on Mount Carmel which begins this Friday (29 July)
    • Please pray for favour for those still trying to obtain visas, particularly from China, Egypt and Indonesia

  • Egyptian short-term training programme
    • We thank the Lord for 15 young men who have just completed the first part of a training programme
    • The second part of this will be an outreach amongst Arabic-speaking people in London in August
    • All but one of those students who applied for visas to come to the UK, were refused, so please pray for God's favour on them as they wait for the result of an appeal
Enid Thomas
  • Health Update
    • You may remember that last year we asked for prayer for Enid, one of the Nations members in Llanelli
    • Last September she had a quadruple bypass operation but the heart never regained its correct rhythm and she had to have electrical shock treatment in May to correct that
    • Enid and Allan thank the Lord that this has been successful
    • However, Enid was admitted to hospital again a few weeks ago with an infection in her foot which has turned out to be far more serious than expected
    • Because of a pre-existing diabetic condition and poor blood circulation for 9 months, the infection has spread to the bone in most of her lower leg
    • She discovered at the end of last week that she faces having an amputation either just below, or possibly above, the knee
    • please pray for them both – the Lord has given them some specific verses and we would ask that you would join them in prayer from this verse :
      • Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. “Make level paths for your feet,”so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed. (Hebrews 2:12-13)

Steve Coupe
  • Health Update
    • The hospital recently contacted him to call him in a few days later for the aortic valve replacement operation. They agreed to postpone this until later August in order that a family visit can go ahead.
    • He feels fine and is working normally, although taking things a little slower as recommended.

Thank you for reading this. May His Light shine overcome any darkness in these situations.
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’ (Numbers 6:24-26)
